Step I : Create 2 reports in individual worksheets.
Step II: Add 2 reports into a single dashboard page.
Step III: Provide interaction between 2 reports using
Actions in Worksheet Menu.
Step I :
1. Create first
report :
a. Drag and drop Product
Category from Dimensions into Columns
b. Drag and drop Sales
from Measures into Rows
c. Drag and drop Product Category
into Color
d. Drag and drop sales
into Label
e. Add Region, Product
Category and Product Sub-Category in Filter
We can see the Product
Category by Sales report as shown in the below screen
2. Create second
report:
a. Drag and drop Product
Sub-Category from Dimensions into Columns
b. Drag and drop Sales
from Measures into Rows
c. Drag and drop Product Sub-Category into
Color
d. Drag and drop sales
into Label
e. Add Region, Product
Category and Product Sub-Category in Filter
We can see the Product Sub-Category by
sales Report as shown in the below
Step 2: Add 2 reports into single dashboard page
Create new
Dashboard page and add these 2 reports into dashboard page
Step 3: Provide interaction between 2 reports using
Actions in Worksheet Menu
a. Go to Worksheet
Menu and click on Actions
Then it will open one
window as shown in the below screen, Go to Add action
-> Filter and click on OK
Here we are selecting the “Furniture” Category in First report, it is filtering the Furniture Category Data in second Report.
b. then it will open below screen. Select the
“Select” option as shown in the below screen and
click on OK
Then it will display the screen as shown in
below and click on OK
Here we are selecting the “Furniture” Category in First report, it is filtering the Furniture Category Data in second Report.
Calculation Proof :
1. Furniture category Sales
amount is 5,178,591 in first report
2. Furniture category
Sales amount is 822,652+698,094+1,761,837+1,896,008 =
5,178,591 in Second report
